Water testing and diagnosis

John tests your water and looks at your plumbing and any existing equipment before he recommends anything. Most water problems have more than one cause, and the right system depends on all of them. That's how you avoid buying equipment you don't need.

Water softeners

Hard water carries dissolved calcium and magnesium. It leaves white scale on fixtures and inside water heaters, spots on dishes and glass, and makes soap hard to rinse. A softener sized to your water and household removes the hardness at the point it enters the house.

Iron, sulfur, and sediment

Iron stains sinks, toilets, and laundry orange or brown. Hydrogen sulfide gives water a rotten egg smell. Sediment makes water gritty or cloudy and wears out fixtures. Each takes different equipment, and many wells have more than one of them.

Acid neutralizers and pH correction

Acidic water (low pH) turns up on many private wells. It can eat at copper plumbing and leave blue-green stains on fixtures. An acid neutralizer raises the pH before the water reaches your pipes.

Reverse osmosis and carbon filtration

Service, repair, and system redesign

Payment is due when the job is complete and you're satisfied with it.
